Playworker (Breakfast & After School Club)

Do you enjoy creating a fun, engaging, and supportive environment for children? Emerald Teaching is recruiting a dedicated Playworker to support one of our partner schools in the Bolton area.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking to join a welcoming school community.

As a Playworker, you will:

* Welcome and supervise children before and after the school day.
* Organise enjoyable activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and active play.
* Help children feel safe, supported, and included throughout each session.
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage respectful relationships.
* Support children’s wellbeing by providing a caring and nurturing environment.
* Work alongside school staff to ensure the club runs smoothly each day.

Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* Morning: 7:15am – 9:00am
* Afternoon: 3:15pm – 6:15pm

Please note that this role requires availability for both the morning and afternoon sessions each day.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

* Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting is desirable.
* A positive, enthusiastic, and reliable approach.
* The ability to engage children through play and recreational activities.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing.
* First Aid or Food Hygiene qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
