Job Description
Emerald Teaching is a specialist education recruitment agency currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools, colleges and educational settings across Greater Manchester during upcoming examination periods.
We are looking for reliable, professional and organised individuals who can help ensure examinations are conducted in a calm, secure and supportive environment, in accordance with examination regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, part-time work, including those with previous experience in education, administration or examination supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise students during examinations, ensuring examination regulations are followed.
Distribute and collect examination papers and materials securely.
Assist with setting up examination rooms and preparing seating arrangements.
Ensure students remain under appropriate examination conditions.
Monitor students throughout examinations and report any irregularities.
Provide clear instructions to students before and during examinations.
Support students with approved access arrangements where required.
Work closely with examination officers and other school staff.
Requirements
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
A professional, reliable and punctual approach.
Ability to remain calm and maintain a professional examination environment.
Previous exam invigilation experience is desirable but not essential.
Willingness to complete annual exam invigilation training in line with current JCQ regulations.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.
